This year, the judges at the Lancaster/Lebanon Parade of Homes asked themselves something similar — and for Best Single-Family Home, their answer was 121 Maple Lane in Lebanon, built by Alden Homes.
We brought two entries to the 2026 Parade, and both carry the same instincts for design and the same standard for craftsmanship that’s defined Alden Homes for more than 20 years. One took home the Fulton Bank Award. The other was built as a model but has been sold. Here’s a look inside both.
The Award-Winning Home: 121 Maple Lane
At 4,671 square feet, 121 Maple Lane doesn’t announce itself with size alone — it’s confident in its details. An 8-foot pivot door sets the tone at the entrance, opening into a home where floor-to-ceiling black windows pull daylight through every main living space. A double-sided linear fireplace, finished in micro-cement, anchors two rooms at once, and the kitchen — full-height quartz, built for a family that actually cooks — was designed as the kind of space people gather in without being asked.
The primary suite lives on the first floor, paired with a zero-entry shower built for both everyday comfort and long-term livability. Upstairs and down, a whole-home Lutron system quietly runs the lighting, climate, and shades. And in the basement, the home has a little fun with itself: a glass elevator and a turf golf simulator turn what’s often an afterthought space into one of the home’s best features.
It’s a three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath home with a three-car garage finished in sleek glass panels — every detail considered, nothing left as filler.

Also in the 2026 Parade: 419 Cannon Way
If Maple Lane is confident, 419 Cannon Way is bold. Set in The Cornwall Cliffs at Iron Valley, this 2,800-square-foot home leans into glass and light — a 12-by-8-foot slider and floor-to-ceiling windows blur the line between indoors and out, while a 60-inch see-through linear fireplace, wrapped in floor-to-ceiling metal, becomes the visual centerpiece of the main living space.
The kitchen was reimagined around real life: custom cabinetry paired with a hidden scullery keeps the mess out of sight without sacrificing function. A staircase built like a sculpture — an open metal “zig-zag” design with black cable rail — carries that same design confidence upstairs. A main-level guest suite gives visitors their own designer-finished retreat, and outside, a pergola porch extends into a metal trellis patio for outdoor living.
From the curb, the home doesn’t hold back either: black windows, willow siding, and painted brick make it clear this house was built to lead, not follow.

Why This Recognition Matters to Us
The Fulton Bank Award isn’t given lightly — entries across the region are judged by a panel of industry professionals against a numerical scoring system, covering everything from design and craftsmanship to livability and finish work. Winning it for 121 Maple Lane is meaningful, but it’s not really about the trophy. It’s confirmation of something we’ve believed for over 20 years: that a home built in Cornwall, Pennsylvania by people who care about the details can stand up against anyone in the region.
